On the week of Homecoming, Southside’s Key Club sold on October 13 and 14 during lunch to raise money for Reynolds Cancer Support house. The Key Club sold five-hundred twenty dollars worth of pink-colored and breast cancer awareness items.

“I am honored and glad to have the opportunity to be able to fund for the Reynolds Cancer Support House,” Campaign Leader Wilmarie Velila Rosario said.

Makala Keech, Linnie Doan, and Maia McGregor worked with Rosario to run this fundraiser. These four students presented a check to Reynolds Cancer Support House in alignment with the ‘Pink Out’ football game at Southside that week.

Key Club’s ‘Pink Out’ event was a huge success as Wilmarie and her team were able to present a $520 check to the Reynolds Cancer Support House during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We are so proud of how organized, dedicated and passionate these girls were in order to make this donation possible. Wilmarie and her team were fantastic representatives of Key Club, Southside High School and what it means to be a Maverick,” Key Club Sponsor Ms. Stephanie Lloyd said.
