Throughhout the week of March 18, students took a well-deserved break away from the deadlines and homework that come with the stress of the final semester of school. Each student spent their Spring Break differently.
“Over Spring Break Anna Garlow, Maggie Farmer, and I took a trip to Cabo, Mexico with our families! We spent our time mostly laying in the sun, playing sand volleyball, riding horses on the beach, and eating great foods! But my favorite part of the trip was definitely the night we all went on a sunset cruise and got to see live whales!” senior Ruby McGruder said.
While some students planned vacations with their friends, other students took a break to spend quality time with their families.
‘I stayed home and hung out with my sister, who had just come home from college. I haven’t gotten to see her as much, but we grew up in the same house together, so it was weird this first year being apart from each other. So, it was nice to live like we weren’t living apart for a week,” junior Coen Browning said.
No matter how the break was spent, the time off from school was greatly appreciated by students. Spring Break is often a time that students look forward to throughout the year to have fun in their own ways.
“It is a mental break. It is a week to unwind that gives a fresh restart for the rest of the semester,” sophomore Emily Calhoun said.
