Every year, senior students are invited to participate in fun activities to celebrate their approaching graduation. One of these events is the annual Color Wars, which serves as a beacon of excitement for students. This year, Color Wars hosted eight teams, all representing a different color. Each team competes in several different games, such as trivia, mattress surfing, and tug of war.
“My favorite moment would have to be when I won my side of musical chairs and our team rushed into the middle to cheer and scream,” blue team member Emry Woolard said.
The pink team took home the first-place win this year after beating everyone in the basketball free throw portion of the games.
“When I was on the pink team, I didn’t really know anyone at first. I’m just so used to my own friend group. Being a part of the pink team, I was able to talk to other people I generally don’t talk to. Overall, Color Wars itself was a really fun. I really liked the environment because everyone got together and tried to work together to win, and everybody got involved,” pink team member Kathy Nguyen said.
Overall, Color Wars allows the senior class to let loose and have fun together one last time before graduating from high school. Each year, participants have fun making memories that will follow them into the future.
