Creed III marks the third installment in the Creed series, which began in 2015 as a spin-off of the Rocky franchise. Directed by Michael B. Jordan, who also stars as Adonis Creed, the movie follows Adonis as he faces a new set of challenges in and out of the ring.

Jordan’s direction is confident and assured, with a keen eye for action and drama. The fight scenes are as thrilling and visceral as ever, with Jordan and his castmates delivering impressive physical performances. The film also explores themes of family, legacy, and identity, as Adonis grapples with his place in the world and his relationship with his mentor Rocky Balboa, played by actor Sylvester Stallone.

Newcomer Zachary T. Scott gives a standout performance as Adonis’ rival, a rising boxer with a chip on his shoulder. The film also features strong supporting performances from Tessa Thompson, reprising her role as Adonis’ partner Bianca, and Phylicia Rashad as Adonis’ mother, Mary Anne.

At times, the movie can feel a bit formulaic, with some predictable plot twists and character arcs. However, Jordan and his cast infuse the film with enough heart and energy to make it a worthy addition to the franchise. The film’s final act, in particular, is a standout, delivering a satisfying conclusion to Adonis’ journey.

Overall, Creed III is a strong entry in the Creed series, delivering the action and emotion that fans have come to expect. Jordan continues to prove himself as a talented director and actor, and the supporting cast shines as well. It may not reinvent the wheel, but Creed III is a solid addition to the Rocky-verse.
