Heidi Klum’s Halloween is nothing short of legendary, a dazzling celebration that draws celebrities and fans alike into a night of spooky fun. Every year, Heidi Klum surprises the media with a breathtaking Halloween costume, but this year she stole everyone’s attention as she frightened them on the red carpet.
On Friday, Halloween night, Heidi hosted the party in New York at a secret venue in Manhattan. Following her previous years being a beautiful peacock and a feminine E.T., she decided to take a turn and shock her fans with a scary, hideous Medusa. She collaborated with Mike Marino, an Oscar-nominated makeup artist, to achieve her frightening look. She stuck her lizard-like tongue out along with her snake headpiece including snakes that moved by themselves to give it a real Medusa effect. Her husband, who is always down to play dress up with her, stood by her side dressed as a man who turned to stone after looking at her.
Many stars showed up and made a striking appearance, including Amaya Espinal going as a Na’vi alien from the film Avatar, covered in blue body paint and with a wonderful resemblance to the reference. A costume that stirred a lot of controversy on social media was Julia Fox dressing as Jackie Kennedy in the aftermath of John F Kennedy’s assassination. Many viewers found this disrespectful and uncalled for but Fox defended saying “I’m dressed not as a costume, but as a statement.” She then quoted Jackie Kennedy, “I want them to see what they’ve done.”
Not only is Heidi’s party about the costumes, but the whole experience, from the music, the decor, and the social media buzzing. The party is also a place where celebrities and influencers can show their creativity and how they can be put in a fantasy where they take a break from being themselves for a night.
